Great place and convenient
Reviewed on 2025-03-18 by Steve H. , Rochester, NY United StatesSafe and secure. Easy beach access and close to food, shopping, and entertainment. Nice boardwalk lots to see and do.
Best location on the beach
Reviewed on 2025-03-13 by , Erie, PA United StatesNice comfortable place for two people. The location is perfect with all the John's Pass attractions within walking distance.
Madeira Beach Vacation.
Reviewed on 2024-12-25 by Albert F. , Greenfield, IN United StatesThe room was clean and comfortable and bed was nice and clean. Outside conditions weren't too bad considering the hurricane damage that was done. Not many restaurants open and the ones that were had limited menu but that wasn't the hotels fault. The weather was great during my stay so that helped out a lot towards a nice vacation.
Great clean rental right on the beach!
Reviewed on 2024-08-22 by Lisa J. , BURNT HILLS, NY United StatesMy husband and I had a great time at the beach place. Nice size pool and great location. Right on the beach. Also, right across from John’s Pass and great restaurants.
Survey
Reviewed on 2024-02-19 by Karen V. , Saint Joseph, MI USThe pool area right close to the beach was great. It would be nice to have bathroom facilities at the pool area, because our unit was across the parking lot and up stairs to second floor. Our unit was small and kitchen area did not have bowls and enough cooking items. Needed more items in the empty cabinets. We did not have a balcony but bedroom was nice and good bed.<br/>
Perfect Stay
Reviewed on 2024-02-11 by Thomas P. , Selbyville, DE UnknownThe unit was as described. It was clean & had all amenities necessary for our stay. Although we arrived during the weekend of a festival being held across the street, we felt safe. Parking was well monitored. The only problem we encountered was that when we arrived, we found a broken ceiling fan paddle on the floor in the bedroom. We gave the piece to the office but the fan was not repaired during our stay.

Perfect getaway
Reviewed on 2023-09-27 by Michelle M. , Indianapolis, IN United StatesPerfect condo for me and my husband. The bathroom is off the kitchen away from the bedroom so I could wake up and shower and he could sleep in. It’s located right off the elevator, but we didn’t hear noise from it. No balcony but the price is cheaper than the other condos so they made up for it :) also it was very clean!
Great Area
Reviewed on 2023-08-31 by , Cridersville, OH United StatesGreat area, friendly people. Great access to beach and John's Pass. Area felt very safe. Delosa's pizza at John's Pass is amazing. Had some obnoxious noise from school age kids in public beach lot next to condo but after school started it stopped. We will definitely be back to Beach Place.
Vacation with family and friends
Reviewed on 2023-05-17 by Michael M. , Fort Erie, ON CanadaVacation rental was fine until air conditioner in room leaked into bedroom soaking carpet 4feet into room . The smell of damp carpet and under pad wasn’t pleasant. They pulled back carpet and placed a large fan to help dry carpet and area. Repair was done however left with dealing with this and smell of wet carpet. Had to turn off fan for sleeping but had to deal with damp smell. It’s a good thing we have relatives staying in another unit . Stay was not great in room. We have stayed in this unit before and some updates were done but still needs more . The kitchen cabinets and sink placement is so 70s. The fridge is rusted freezer shelving falli apart and fridge door inside bar falling off fridge is dented. The carpet in room not wet . Recommend removing carpet.
Not great, but worth the price
Reviewed on 2023-03-20 by , Leesburg, VA United StatesUnit 200 seems to be made from a former office. Odd layout (bedroom and bathroom on opposite sides of the living room). For the price there was lots of room and storage space. But it was in fairly bad shape. Fridge very rusted. Painting chipping in many places. Just 1 small towel rack in bathroom. No patio, not any view. But Beach Place is close to lots. The staff was all friendly and helpful. Other units may be better. No love for this unit though.

Good price, dated with a few issues
Reviewed on 2022-12-22 by , Festus, MO United StatesElevator noise day and night
Ant infestation (they sprayed one day while we were there but it did nothing to deter the ants.
No mirror except small one over the bathroom sink.
No drapes or curtains to block our streetlights at night. Only blinds (was like daytime in the bedroom 24/7.
Small couch that wasn't very comfortable. Places clean on the surface but baseboards, doors, etc haven't been cleaned in years.
The parking spot is for some ridiculous reason on the backside of the next building.
Perfect location near everything.

Also in bedroom in the open space another long dresser or a place to put luggage on a stand. All else was good

Condo #200
Reviewed on 2022-02-21 by , MANTORVILLE, MN USThe location of the Condo Building was beautiful. Lots to do. The pool was very nice and it is great access to the beautiful beach and ocean. The team was accommodating for late arrival do to cancel flight. The Condo itself was not clean. The floor and rug were very dirty. You can tell that the air conditioner in the bedroom leaks water on the floor and caused mold. The furniture could use an update and more seating. My past experiences at VRBO's they provided the essentials like paper towels, dish soap and more towels.
Do not stay
Reviewed on 2022-01-25 by , Catlettsburg, KY USUnit 200 was falsely advertised in pictures. It does not have a beach view balcony. It is basically a 2 room condo. The ceiling fan hangs too low from ceiling. Bathroom is small and dirty. Unit needs to be updated and a deep clean needs to happen! We were appalled at the condition and even more appalled at what we paid to stay! The ONLY thing good about it was close proximity to John's Pass and the beach. We have stayed at other SunHost Resorts and THIS one is absolutely horrible. We made a decision to never use Sunhost again and actually booked with another company for our visit in August. Very unhappy clients.

Horrible Outdated Filthy
Reviewed on 2021-05-11 by Robert H. , Chesterfield, MI UnknownFrom the 70’s. Awfully outdated!! We stayed in a one bedroom condo (unit 200) with no balcony. The elevator is right next to the bedroom so you hear it all night. The HVAC unit is in the bedroom closet so that wakes you up all night as well!! The overall cleanliness was unacceptable!! There is a hole stuffed with toilet paper in the back of the bathroom door!! The handle fell off of the oven door!! The carpet is filthy. The shelf in the bathroom is rusted!! I will not recommend or stay there again!!
Nice to get away from the cold weather!

Convenient location, but too expensive
Reviewed on 2020-12-27 by Katie P. , Washington, DC United StatesConvenient location, great access to the beach and boardwalk restaurants and shops. Out dated - way too expensive for the quality of the room. Parking spaces are numbered very randomly - the one for my room was located on the other side of the 2nd building even though my room was in the 1st building. I also wish the website told you what building the room was in... we were a wedding party and all booked rooms we thought were near each other but a couple ended up being in the other building even though the numbers were very close so that was aggravating.
