A little disappointed
Reviewed on 2024-08-14 by Kathleen M. , Dresher, PA United StatesThe room was not as pictured and it could have been cleaner. The location of the property is great. The pool due to how many people were there could have been cleaned more often. I also was surprised at how much they charged to add on a day.
Unit 212
Reviewed on 2024-08-01 by Dave T. , N/A, CO United StatesIt is a great little unit for one guy that spends most of his time on the beach or boardwalk. Bring your own salt and pepper as the only things offered above just dishes and plates is what other people may have left. I would stay here again, that's just me. But wanted to state all that I experienced in Unit 212. It is a unit off from the main building not directly near the beach. So, on the positive- you wont have little kids running around.
The unit is older. No room for a dishwasher. The TV internet is very slow and non-responsive at times.
It is a great little unit for one guy that spends most of his time on the beach or boardwalk. Love Surf Song
Reviewed on 2024-07-23 by Gregory L. , Edwardsville, IL United StatesWe’ve been staying at Surf Song for 40 years since our kids were toddlers. Now they stay there too with their families. You just can’t beat Surf Song for location, amenities, and affordability. Right on Madeira Beach with a great pool and Johns Pass restaurants, shops, and entertainment right across Gulf Blvd. Already making plans for next year.
Long weekend getaway
Reviewed on 2024-06-13 by , Oviedo, FL USOld Florida feel. Very small, especially the bathroom. But just fine for the two of us and a 3 night stay. Nice location, lots of local flavor nearby - no chains.

Surf Song unit 212
Reviewed on 2024-02-18 by William N. , N/A, CO United StatesI was not very satisfied . Entry door was beat up and missing paint and problems with the lock. Bedroom door and bathroom door would not close. Bathroom was extremely small, knees almost rubbed the vanity. All doors in the unit needed replacing, beat up and paint chipped.Road noise from outside was was very loud inside the unit. Windows also needed replacement, did not seal and you could feel air around them.We would not consider renting this unit again. IT WAS CLEAN INSIDE, and Jenn and Dawn very very nice in the office..

Reviewed on 2022-02-14 by , Davenport, IA USThe not so good - very dirty carpet throughout, generally dirty throughout, unable to sit on the toilet with legs facing forward unless less than 4 ft tall, undesirable laundry facilities, windows either did not operate or screens ripped.
The good - location, location, location next to the beach and next to John’s Pass. Good price.
The not so good - very dirty carpet throughout, generally dirty throughout, unable to sit on the toilet with legs facing forward unless less than 4 ft tall, undesirable laundry facilities, windows either did not operate or screens ripped.
10 nights at 212 Surf Song
Reviewed on 2021-12-09 by , Peachtree City, GA United StatesThis was our 2nd stay at #212 (the first time was 2 yrs ago when the unit was newly remodeled). While the bed was still comfortable and the appliances worked well, unfortunately time had taken a toll the flooring and overall condition. The carpeting felt grungy and gave the unit an unpleasant odor, and one of the main tiles in the tiny kitchen was broken and cut my foot. There were also caulking stains and mold/mildew around the bathroom fixtures. This would have been more tolerable for a short 3 night stay but not for 10. Fortunately the mild weather allowed us to avoid being inside for most of our stay. Plusses of this unit were the privacy, easy access to the unit, shops and beach, good parking spot, windows on three sides, and helpfulness of the staff. I would return if the condition was brought back up to snuff, or if my stay was quite short.
Great location

Very Nasty Room and False Advertisement
Reviewed on 2021-06-07 by Ashlee K. , Moreland, GA USThis room was advertised as have all new flooring and furnishing! The room was very nasty. Furniture was stained with sweat/dirt marks where legs and arms touch the sofa and arms of furniture. Carpet was stained and not been cleaned, it was sticky and shoes had to be worn! The bathroom was not clean! There was toothpaste and spit all over the faucet along with black hair on the counters. We left and found another resort the next day!
Paradise!
Reviewed on 2021-04-21 by , Osage City, KS USWe stayed for a week in the apartment above the office. The apartment was small but met our needs. Very clean, beautifully decorated, and perfect for one or two people. The Surf Song Resorts is right across the street from John's Pass making it convenient to shop, grab a bite of food, or to enjoy the night life. We would stay here again!
