Reviewed on 2024-02-12 by , New Franklin, OH United StatesWe had rain Sun-Mon. The pool had leaves and misc in it from the storm. I was told the pool was cleaned on Mon/Wed/Fri. It was not cleaned until Fri. - again the day before we left.
Those were the only 2 issues we had. The rest of our experience was great!!
The condo was very nice. The toilet in the 2 bed bedroom had issues. Maintenance came in and said they had to order a new handle. We never heard back from them for the rest of our 2 week stay. Babying a toilet isn’t something you should have to deal with on vacation.
We had rain Sun-Mon. The pool had leaves and misc in it from the storm. I was told the pool was cleaned on Mon/Wed/Fri. Great customer service!
Reviewed on 2023-12-11 by Joe B. , Byron Center, MI United StatesWe have been using SunHosts for the last 5 years for our family vacations. They have always been very helpful and accommodating for reservations, payment, and solving any minor, if any, issues that arise during our stay. I would highly recommend using them and their properties.

This is our 3rd year staying and as usual it was great! My suggestions for improvement- a key code for beach and pool- we had 5 adults and 2 keys makes it very difficult- same with the lobby entrance.
Would love to have stronger garbage bags for kitchen. Nice Stay
Reviewed on 2023-07-17 by Kathy N. , King, NC USCheck in and out was simplistic and the staff at SunHost was very accommodating and friendly.
This is a very nice condo. Beautiful view. Very pleased with our stay. The only negative comment was the back bedroom was like a sauna. There is no AC circulating to that part of the condo. Made sleeping very difficult.
Check in and out was simplistic and the staff at SunHost was very accommodating and friendly.
303 rimson
Reviewed on 2023-06-01 by , Portage, MI UnknownI loved my 5 weeks at Madeira Beach. I wasn’t impressed with the condo. It looks nice but it’s very uncomfortable. The furniture in the family room was terrible. It was so soft you would fall into the cracks and couldn’t get up without help. The beds with egg crests on them were too soft. The furniture was really battered. Some one really misused the tv stand and bathroom vanities. You couldn’t close the curtains in the living room unless you were 6 ft tall. There were holes wher the curtains had been hung before that needed filled. The lock was broken on the living room slider. My brother fixed that. The Mitch was great. I’m not a fan of tall tables but it was beautiful. I liked the combination lock on the door and wish the pool & gate to beach had one. too
Absolutely Beautiful Condo

Relaxing Vacation
Reviewed on 2023-02-27 by Rachel B. , Reese, MI United StatesWe loved staying in Crimson 303. It was so nice to wake up to a view of the ocean. We loved staying at Crimson specifically because there is a hot tub. The condo was beautifully decorated and fully furnished. We hope to stay again in the future.
Winter Break
Reviewed on 2023-02-20 by Mark Q. , Denver, CO United StatesSo enjoyed this property! The location next to John’s. Pass was perfect literally across the street for several restaurants and shopping. Beach access was less than 50 yards away. Pool in the hot tub are clean and very comfortable. The beach view from the balcony was much better than the pictures indicate from the website.
Needs a little TLC
Reviewed on 2022-11-28 by Joe B. , Byron Center, MI United StatesWe have stayed in Crimson before so we knew the property. Check in and communication with Sun Hosts prior was and always has been excellent. The unit was nice but needs some attention. Dishwasher is protruding from cabinetry, upper arm inside was broke, (I fixed well enough to use for the week), refer crisper drawer will slide out but won't go back in. Little things that need work. We also rent here because they have a heated pool and hot tub. It can be chilly in November so this is nice. The pool was ice cold, (we were told the heater was broke), the hot tub was so filthy it stunk. We let Sun Host know and we were told another company handles the pool and hot tub and we needed to call them. Seriously? We didn't pay them for the rental. We did however call them and by the forth day with other tenants complaints, both were finally fixed. Since we like the area, we inquired about re booking for next year. Rates were increased almost 50%. WOW! A little steep on the increase maybe? We would choose this again but a word to the wise, check items in your unit prior and shop rates. It was ok at the rate we paid but not worth the increase.

Hurricane Ian
Reviewed on 2022-10-18 by Janice B. , Brookfield, WI United StatesThe 2 days we were able to spend were perfect. Having to be evacuated due to the hurricane and losing 6 days of our vacation was extremely disappointing. As before, would like a better way to access beach/pool besides key-or give enough keys for # of people staying in room.

Crimson - Room 303
Reviewed on 2021-11-24 by Robert S. , Inver Grove Heights, MN United StatesWe had a great time and the room was fantastic. Overall, we were very pleased and would recommend. Location to John's Pass and Treasure Island couldn't be better. As several of the other reviews I read indicated, the key situation can be a hassle. And the only other item we were disappointed about is that there were no Gas Grills.

303 Crimson
Reviewed on 2021-07-19 by , Noblesville, IN United StatesUpdated kitchen, furnishings, & decor in #303 Crimson! A very warm, welcoming, beachy feel with LVP flooring throughout living & sleeping areas -- perfect for its beachfront location! Could use some more kitchen utensils, silverware, mixing/food prep items, but the remodel of the kitchen is STUNNING! Dryer took MULTIPLE cycles to dry light-weight clothing, even after cleaning a LOT of lint from under the lint trap; guessing whole building needs professional ductwork cleaning as family members in other units experienced the same problem. NOT a fan of having to use a key to get OUT of the pool gate --- this is a safety hazard, as are the horizontal rails on the balconies -- small children could climb them like a ladder. Would recommend keypad entries on units & gates to avoid juggling of keys in large families. Cannot beat the location or view though!
An excellent condo.. but be prepared for unwanted trespassers
Reviewed on 2021-07-05 by , Cincinnati, OH United States**Our ONLY complaint.. it is apparently a daily routine for local teens to climb over the locked gate/fence around the pool/hot tub area to make themselves at home in the hot tub (expect groups of 5-20 at a time). They are very bold and will do this while paying guests are also using the amenities at any time of the day & night. When asked to leave when they obviously don't have a key and are trespassing, be prepared for confrontation. There is no on-site security at this property. Surveillance cameras are located directly above the pool area but must not be working and/or monitored. When you complain to the property mgmt office you will be told they can't do anything about it and to call the local non-emergency police line. It is UNACCEPTABLE for paying guests who are using the amenities to have to play the role of security. This issue must be addressed!!!
A beautiful condo with a gorgeous updated kitchen, plenty of space and very clean. Photos and description of condo are accurate. Queen mattresses in the 2nd master bedroom need to be replaced. Crimson 303
Reviewed on 2021-05-31 by Stephen S. , Philadelphia Pa, US UnknownOne issue was the third bedroom gets very warm at night with the air conditioning not cooling that room. I might recommend partially closing some of the other room’s vents to force more air to the third bedroom.
Only other issue was the cleaning crew needs to Mop the floors. I don’t need to see black bottoms of our feet just after a few hours of walking around barefooted.

A Beautiful Place to Stay
Reviewed on 2021-05-24 by Vickie W. , Silver Lake, KS United StatesFrom the very beginning of planning this trip, to checking in, dealing with the SunHost Resorts was wonderful. From the moment we walked into the condo we rented for the week, we felt at home. What a welcoming place #303 is. It is a newly remolded condo and it is beautiful. The color scheme is so relaxing and serene. The view of the beach and ocean from the balcony is perfect. All bedrooms were so comfortable. I would absolutely stay in this condo again. We were not able to see the complete sunset from the balcony because of a taller building but we did get to see some of it. So that is ok. I have not a single bad thing to say about this resort. Loved it all.
Thanksgiving trip
Reviewed on 2020-12-08 by Robert P. , Tallahassee, FL United StatesUnfortunately this was not as good as a trip as in the past. Generally we stay at Beach Place but nothing was available this year. This unit as crimson had some issues and the view was not as good as beach place. One issue with our room was it seemed the AC was run by someone else with Bluetooth. We would set at 73 before going to sleep and when we woke up it was moved to 80. This also happened sometimes during the day. There was also a faucet problem requiring the faucets to be turned off very hard or they would drip and splash-especially the front bathroom.
Crimson Condo Madeira Beach #303
Reviewed on 2020-11-18 by Donald H. , Lake Orion, MI United StatesEverything was really good except for two minor problems: we had a problem with the air conditioner freezing up for one day (even though we never set the temperature below 74 degrees) and the pool wasn't cleaned very often (nor were other sanitary COVID related cleaning procedures done very often, if at all). Everything else was great!
