To be honest the whole condo needs to be refurbished with new kitchen, two new bathrooms, floors, and doors, I feel the price for what you get is certainly not value for money, I normally stay at surf song condos and I feel some of them are the same but they have started to update some of them, I have been coming to Madeira beach since 1985 but we are thinking of starting to look for other places to rent as we feel we are not getting value for our money which is a shame because it is a friendly and beautiful place to holiday maybe you think I am being a bit harsh but that is how I see it sorry.

My family had a wonderful stay. We enjoy this property every time we visit
This was our 4th visit to the property, and 2nd stay in this specific condo. It was perfect for 4 adults and 2 children. It was clean, it's as it appears in the photos, conveniently located, and so has a wonderful view. We had no major issues during our stay. The garbage disposal did have tape over the switch, so we assumed it did not work. There used to be random beach items that guests could use, in the closet, which I know are not guaranteed as part of our stay, but all those items have been cleared out of this unit, so plan on purchasing new or borrowing chairs, umbrellas, toys etc. from the shared box located on the beach(if they're available). Also the condo was supposed to have a laundry basket, but it didn't, so I just used my own bag or carried my folded things. None of these things were a major issue, just things I remembered having in the past. Overall our stay was great again this year!

We have enjoyed over 25 years of renting condos at sunhost. This condo was disappointing. Did not look like the photos, we were locked out and received the wrong internet information. Disappointing. However, will try and different condo next spring.

The unit seemed like it hasn't been updated since 1981 when it was built. Needs updated everywhere. Other units we visited were much much nicer. The grossest part was the black mold filled handle in the shower. There were countless other opportunities for improvement.

It is the perfect location. We have stayed in several different units. Some are much better maintained. The overall experience is awesome.

The stay was ok. The refrigerator was loud and so was the air conditioner. The rest was good. Hopefully next time I can find one facing the beach.

Stayed at Beach Place #504 for our son's wedding in St. Pete's. Location to beach, John's Pass and wedding activities were ideal. Recommend highly. Definitely booking for our next vacation!

Dirty,outdated kitchen dirty bathroom doors,couch stained, not impressed as other condo,bathroom tiles dirty needs a good good cleaning to my standards.

Condo was very nice and clean... the chairs' arms were soiled... The King bed mattress was quite worn out.The beach and pool was very good...
the last day we were there the A/C froze up even though we didn't turn it below 72 degrees. The maintenance man was rude as he was blaming us for the A/C freezing up... never was repaired...
I am a maintenance man myself and I'm pretty certain that it was just low on freon...

Beach Place is an ideal location directly across the street from Johns Pass and on the Gulf. We enjoyed our stay and made several side trips. We stayed in 504 at the back. The unit was clean and ready for us when we arrived. It could use a little TLC in the bathrooms such as repair/repaint the doors from a previous water leak and when cleaning make sure to clean the coffee pot. Only 1 glitch with management, they gave us the wrong code for the elevator when it changed. Have stayed at Beach Place for numerous years and will go back again.

Great location and convenient. Street noise takes getting used to. While the condo is good, updates including furniture would be nice. All flooring in the condo needs steam cleaning. Also, cleaning supplies for bathroom, kitchen and glass would be helpful for extended stays. Looking forward to 2024!

Beach Place in Madeira was a great location. The condo was good, the view from the balcony, close to boardwalk and everything along the beach. The ocean is very close, just a straight walk out past the pool. With so many units the pool is often full, and the other guests were friendly. Right next to Beach place is public parking and so a lot of people come and go, and in the evening hang out making a bit of noise with radios, cars and generally being loud.
Two bedroom unit and one of the beds was broken. So for 3 nights they slept with their head up and their feet a foot lower. There was supposed to be a work order in, but maintenance, who we spoke to directly, said they had no record of it. After 4 days, i fixed the bed myself with a screw gun and some 2.5 inch screws. The front staff was a little rude about the issue. This was also the circumstance when talking with them about an additional parking space. We had requested an additional space, as we had two families, 6 people, staying, and then confirmed this a month before and again 3 days before. The hurricane had made a lot of people cancel. The lady at the desk referred back to the rental agreement about 5 times about 1 parking space. I acknowledged this, and that a request had been made and approved. She couldn't believe it, and was very put out to work this out. Eventually we got a space, but I would not plan on it happening again while she is in charge.

Great location, across the street from John's Pass. Lots of eateries and things to do
Great beach access
Great heated pool

CONS:
Road noise was so loud that we had to stop talking when a motorcycle or big truck drove by. Don't sleep in the front bedroom, the road noise will wake you up
The floors were so dirty that our feet were black all the time. Please have the tile/grout cleaned!
The edges of all floors/perimeter walls have not been cleaned in such a long time
The sliding doors did not work well at all because the tracks were full of gunk and very dirty
The living room furniture is not as pictured. Not sure what they did with the couch and loveseat, but what was there was stained and cushions were raggy/shreaded
You are given 3 rolls of TP, 2 dishwasher pods, 2 small hand soaps. No paper towels, no coffee filters (bring #4 triangles-not round), no sponge, no dishtowels
You can open the locked front door with a credit card. Make sure to always lock the deadbolt
Communication from the office is poor.
They did not tell us that the washer and dryers were being hauled away on Friday and would not be replaced until Monday. We needed to do laundry almost daily with two little ones
We were told that the supplies given to each guest were decided by each owner. When asked when guests were informed of what is supplied, she had no answer

Why did we stay? We arrived after 6pm on a Saturday and had 2 baby cribs and other misc for our stay delivered after that. We could not leave after that because we had no way to move all of the gear for the grandkids. We cleaned what we could and made the best of it

Great location! Wish they provided beach towels. The condo could have been cleaned better before our stay. Our feet were black after walking inside just a few minutes. Grills were very convenient! Overall, enjoyed our stay.

504 has great views of the drawbridge and John's Pass but the unit itself is extremely dated. Furniture is all very soiled to the point of not wanting to sit on it, beds are hard and kitchen supplies are dated.

We loved the location and views from the condo. The balcony was perfect for sitting outside to watch the boats, water and birds flying around. The condo had anything we needed inside. John’s Pass is a must. Great food and drinks. Highly recommend the NY style pizza place there! We would stay at this location again for sure.

This is a great location for both John's Pass and the beach. The condo had great views. While it was outdated, it was very clean. It was a little disappointing that there were very little (bar soap & dishwasher detergent) amenities. We flew so it would have been nice to have beach towels (we bought and left ours), beach chairs (we bought and left ours), paper towels, coffee filters, salt & pepper etc.
