Fort Desoto Park

Fort Desoto National Park is a historical location dating back almost 400 years to the Tocobaga Indians. Now, it is a land reserve where you are free to fish, kayak, and sightsee as much as your heart desires. Go and view the historic fort that was originally built in 1898, complete with actual original mortars of the U.S. Army. If that's not enough, there are also two fishing piers, and a 2.5-mile kayaking trail that guarantees fun for the whole family.
